Who is behind Fun with Hair.com?

Tragic results can often bring about tremendous opportunity

The Problem

My journey begins at the tender age of twelve. While in the process of trying to grow my naturally curly hair longer, I was talked into getting a perm. The results were disastrous! My 'almost' long hair was now a massive brillo pad due to being over processed. I don't need to tell you what effects that can have on a soon-to-be teenager.

The Solution

I was completely devasted and set out to learn everything I possibly could about hair. I was determined to ensure that neither myself, nor anyone else for that matter, ever ended up with the huge ball of frizz that I was now cursed with.

I attended cosmetology school, received my license, worked in and managed various salons for the past 24 years. I hold my license in the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida.

Another Problem

In 1998 I obtained a PC and fell in love with everything about them. When my PC crashed on me and I had no way to fix it, I determined once again to learn everything I could so I would always be able to handle any problems that occured.

Another Solution

This event led me to attend Penn State University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Information, Sciences and Technology. My technical and design skills merged together with the advent of web design and development. I worked as a freelance web developer and as a web developer for Penn State University.

The Family

I have three great kids, Amber, Austin and Landon, and a supportive husband, Randy, who all are very patient of the endless hours I spend in the quest of my 'need to know'.

Conclusion

Cosmetology and Computers are two of my obsessions and the foundation for this web site!
